Insta Inspo Workshop Series with Karrie Mitschmyer

  • MAXT Makerspace Ceramics Center 1283 Main Street, Unit 7 Dublin, NH 03444 U.S. (map)

If you’ve ever liked a picture of someone else’s pot and thought “How did they make that!?” join us on Tuesday nights this summer to try it for yourself!  Students will come to class with inspiration pictures or purchases - sourced from the internet, or your favorite maker - and discuss the various possible ways to achieve similar forms and decoration.  Imitation is one way to learn to “read” ceramics and expand your skill set, eventually translating what you learn into your own creative language. You can sign up for wheel, handbuilding, or decoration sessions, or all of them - wherever the inspiration takes you!  Pre-requisites: basic wheel skills are recommended but not required for wheel sessions.  Ages 14+

Two to six sessions / Six to eighteen hours / $125+
