Join Carter for this practical carpentry course for makers.

Over the two day sessions (1-6p Sat and Sun) you'll learn the skills to build your own workbench for use in a home studio or workshop, each student will leave with their own sturdy finished bench to fit their specific needs. Perfect for working with heavy tools and equipment or for holding a machine or art supplies. The class will cover basic design, types of construction and cover best practice in the woodshop.

Students will be provided materials to create a 2' x 4' plywood topped bench at a comfortable working height of around 36". Smaller or lower benches can be built. If you want to create a larger bench in class, students are responsible for additional materials.
