Create your own amazing miniature world with Sean of Gluckspilz Gifts, his whimsical work is instantly recognizable from galleries and fairs around the region - now you can learn the process!

Participants will learn how Sean forms ideas for his creations foraging in the woods around Noone Falls and Stoddard, NH. Sean will explain how he can sometimes visualize a completed piece from a simple shape or texture in nature that captures his attention. 

Participants will take home a small fairy house that they will complete at the workshop with Sean's step-by-step instruction and guidance. All materials and supplies will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring foraged treasures with them to class.

About the Artist

Sean is a painter and sculptor and has been an artist since early childhood. Sean has always loved being outdoors, playing in nature, and building castles with his wooden blocks on rainy days.

He received a gift of a centerpiece made from moss, twigs, and mushrooms as a young boy. Perhaps this event was a serendipitous foreshadowing of Sean's life-long interest and love of all things fungi. It’s not surprising that mushrooms are an integral part of his work.

The magical mushroom, amanita muscaria, with its colorful red cap peppered with white dots, is common in fairy tales and children’s books. It often represents the passage from the ordinary to the magical or from the known into the unknown. Sean chose the German name for amanita muscaria, Glückspilz (Lucky Mushroom), for his Art Business Name.
