Water Soluble Monoprints - Crayons for Grown Ups!

  • MAXT Makerspace 49 Vose Farm Road, STE 110 Peterborough, NH, 03458 United States (map)

Enter the vibrant world of water soluble monoprints with Kelsey and really make an impression!

Students will learn how to build and manipulate colors on a plexiglass plate using Caran D'ache water soluble wax pastels. This unusual medium allows colors to be applied like wax crayons but manipulated and blended like watercolors or oil pastels. Students will then use the press to transfer their piece to paper, creating a unique print in rich vibrant color. The ghosted image remaining on the plate can be redrawn or manipulated to form a series of related pieces.
